Dominican Republic v Suriname: Forecast, Odds and Bets

Dominican Republic v Suriname: Forecast, Odds and Bets

The final Group A fixture of the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup sees the Dominican Republic face Suriname on Monday, 23 June 2025. Kick-off is set for 03:00 BST in the UK and 04:00 CEST in Italy, Germany, France and Spain. Both sides have already been eliminated but will be eager to end their campaigns on a positive note at AT&T Stadium.

After two opening defeats, neither team has collected a point, making this match a dead rubber in terms of progression. However, pride and momentum are up for grabs as both nations look to salvage some pride in front of a global audience.

How are both teams coming into this?

Dominican Republic have shown attacking intent but defensive lapses have cost them dearly. Conceding five goals in their first two matches, they managed to score three yet still sit bottom of Group A. The side will need to tighten up at the back while maintaining the forward momentum that brought them goals against Costa Rica and their other group opponents.

Suriname, meanwhile, have offered glimpses of promise despite also losing both matches. A narrow 0-2 loss to Mexico highlighted their ability to stay competitive against top opposition, and their three goals scored so far underline a capable frontline. Consistency has been an issue, but their balanced approach could pay dividends against a defensively vulnerable Dominican Republic.

Our forecast

We lean towards a Suriname victory based on their marginally superior goal difference and more balanced recent form. While both teams have defensive weaknesses, Suriname’s tactical adaptability gives them the edge in a tight encounter.

Goals should be at a premium in what promises to be a cautious affair. We also fancy the Both Teams to Score market, as each side has shown an ability to find the net but continues to struggle at the back.

  • Bet365: Suriname win @ 2.37
